The cost of the trip would be $50.00 per person if the troop was not supplementing the cost with funds from the annual mulch sale.
Trip Information:
- All scouts should eat dinner before arrival
- Full Class A uniform for traveling to/from camp site (no neckerchiefs or merit badge sashes)
- FULL CLASS A (WITH NECKERCHIEF & SLIDE) IS REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE ON THE NAS OCEANA TOUR
THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!!! -- NO UNIFORM = NO TOUR - This means scout pants and Class A uniform shirt -- No Neckershief or Merit Badge Sash
- If you or any member of your family is a foreign national, you will not be allowed to go on the NAS Oceana tour per their regulations -- we have no control over this stipulation
- FULL CLASS A (WITH NECKERCHIEF & SLIDE) IS REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE ON THE NAS OCEANA TOUR
- Registration are due online by 02/18/2025 @ 8:00pm
- We will be sleeping indoors in a military-style barracks, so you will only need a sleeping bag and pillow.
- Please note that only 27 Scouts and 3 Advisors w/ Security Clearance will be allowed on station for the Tour.
- A secondary activity will be planned for those who cannot go on the Tour.

I understand that participation in Scouting activities involves a certain degree of risk. I have carefully considered the risk involved and by submitting this electronic registration, I have given consent for myself or my child to participate in these activities. I understand that participation in these activities is entirely voluntary and requires participants to abide by applicable rules and standards of conduct. I release Scouting America, the Heart of Virginia Council, Bethel Baptist Church, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with the activity from any and all claims or liability arising out of this participation.
I approve the sharing of the information on this electronic registration with BSA volunteers and professionals who need to know of medical situations that might require special consideration for the safe conducting of Scouting activities.
In case of an emergency involving me or my child, I understand that every effort will be made to contact the individual listed as the emergency contact person. In the event that this person cannot be reached, permission is hereby given to the medical provider selected by the adult leader in charge to secure proper treatment, including hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, or injections of medication for me or my child. Medical providers are authorized to disclose to the adult in charge examination findings, test results, and treatment provided for purposes of medical evaluation of the participant, follow-up and communication with the participant's parents or guardian, and/or determination of the participant's ability to continue in the program activities.
